Description

Level Me Up is an app that encourages working adults to pick up a new trade skill such as visual design , programming and many more. This introduces a fun and interactive way to encourage them to learn new skills to constantly upskill themselves. Game like features have been integrated to make learning more engaging.

Why I Chose This Topic & My Goal

As the world is constantly evolving and people are required to constantly upskill themselves to keep up with the latest advances, I thought of how I could make the process of learning a new trade skill more interactive instead of the conventional way of learning by listening to lectures and doing mini quiz. My goal is to encourage more working adults to upskill themselves and feel motivated to learn more things even though they are no longer schooling and are working.

Problems

• Boring to take on new skills
• Do not know what to take
• No joy in taking new skills
• See no benefits in learning new skills
• Do not want to go through course alone

Solutions

• Gamification is integrated into learning process
• Many skills are provided and show what skill to take that is relevant to job
• Competitive ranking for test
• Certification can be added to portfolio
• Able to network with others who are taking the course

Response Of Qualitative & Quantitative Research

User Research

User Research focuses on understanding the users need, wants and behaviours through observations, feedback methodologies and task analysis.

I followed two research methods i.e Quantitative and Qualitative analysis. In the qualitative analysis, I have interviewed 10 people who are currently working to understand what they find out what are their thoughts on upskilling. In the quantitative analysis, I have taken a survey of 10 people.
